Disjointed

It just is, here, now

No time to sabotage this

Not true, whispers soul

Reflections, they change

The hush of silence tells all

Too little, too late

Sometimes the fall comes

No fist can keep the blood here

No heart beats that fast

Don’t know if you care

I don’t know if this hurts you

But I need to breathe

  1. Daphne, good morning. This was lovely and achingly sad. I have read it several times here in the early morning just after sunrise here in Vermont. Each time it takes my feelings in a different direction. I think “Disjointed”, at least for me, needs to be savored, to be spoken aloud. I would love to hear you read it…

What are you thinking? Speak words to me!
