It just is, here, now

No time to sabotage this

Not true, whispers soul


Reflections, they change

The hush of silence tells all

Too little, too late


Sometimes the fall comes

No fist can keep the blood here

No heart beats that fast


Don’t know if you care

I don’t know if this hurts you

But I need to breathe

  1. Daphne, good morning. This was lovely and achingly sad. I have read it several times here in the early morning just after sunrise here in Vermont. Each time it takes my feelings in a different direction. I think “Disjointed”, at least for me, needs to be savored, to be spoken aloud. I would love to hear you read it…
